MOTIF Weddings: Maci Andrus & Trey Broussard

Married March 16, 2018

“Maci and Trey were a dream to coordinate with. They had a vision for their wedding day, yet allowed things to flow easily and effortlessly throughout the entire planning process.”

Kayla Jackson Southard

How We Met: In 2013 playing soccer at Topshelf. Maci grew up playing soccer, but Trey had never played before. The couple looks at it as fate that they both happened to be at the same place, on the same night and on the same team! Trey introduced himself, and they hit it off right away.

Maci and Trey were married on Friday, March 16, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lafayette and held their reception at Le Pavillon. Their 300 wedding guests enjoyed food prepared by the Petroleum Club, music by band Souled Out and took home koozies with the couple’s names and wedding date. The couple rode off on a trolley to enjoy their honeymoon in Jamaica and start their lives together.

Personal Touches:Maci wore her great-grandmother’s wedding band, and they used her parents’ cake knife from their wedding day to cut the cake.

Favorite Detail:Live painting done by Keith Morris of the first dance surrounded by friends and family. Their most cherished keepsake from the wedding night, the painting is hanging in the center of their home and reminds them of the best night of their lives.

Advice for Brides: Book your “wish list” vendors first, and hire a wedding planner if your budget allows.

Biggest Splurge:Videographer and photographer. “Because of them, we can relive every moment from our wedding day for years to come,” says Maci.

Most Memorable Moment:The first look. At first, Maci was unsure if she wanted to see Trey before the wedding, but she is glad they decided to break tradition. All of her nerves went away when she saw him, and it was nice for them to have a moment alone before walking down the aisle.
