Our 2019 Show
For the third year in a row, we hosted the Boutique Bridal Show on Sunday, Jan. 20. Our mission to present an intimate and unique event played out beautifully at Le Pavillon in Parc Lafayette. Showcasing about 50 vendors in every bridal category and attracting hundreds of brides from across the region, our show allows for one-on-one conversation between brides and the special people who will help make their dream wedding a reality.
Brides of all ages and their entourage were greeted with samples of Sky’s the Limit cake outside on the red carpet and, once inside, had the chance for a SnapStar photo opp in front of our flower wall courtesy of It’s a Wrap. Our relaxed atmosphere also included sips of champagne and some amazing food from vendors iMonelli, Bon Temps Grill, City Club at River Ranch and Fezzo’s. An “Ask the Expert” Q&A session with wedding coordinator Hannah Trahan, photographer Catherine Guidry and DJ Aaron Lane gave brides a chance to get all their questions answered, while our always popular Style Show headlined by I Do Bridal Couture of Baton Rouge featured Deshotel’s Dress Shop, Sposa Bella and Bella Bridesmaids—with looks for every member of the wedding party.
This year’s vendors went all out to attract and serve our attending brides. From balloons to greenery, beautiful assortments of dresses and accessories, a lighted “LOVE” sign and tiers and tiers of cake, the show floor became a bridal playground. We were so impressed with this year’s booths that plans for next year include a “Best in Show” award.
There were also plenty of giveaways on the show floor, and our own grand prizes included a “Mrs.” necklace from G Jewelry valued at $400 and a pink alligator Tocket valued at $1,200. Congratulations to winners Kabira Mustafa and Jena Delahoussaye.
The Boutique Bridal Show also served as the launch of the second issue of our magazine, MOTIF. Continuing the look, feel and fashion of our show, this annual magazine showcases vintage style with fashion spreads taking place in real bridal venues. MOTIFis not only a resource for brides to find the most reputable vendors around, but a platform for inspiration about love and life.
